August, 2006: Kelly and Ryan James have been chosen as 2 of the 25 finalists in the latest McDonalds 'I'm Lovin' It' campaign out of hundreds of thousands of applicants. McDonalds held a Global Audition for applicants to submit a photo and a story, describing what they love to do with a passion. Of course, dancing was their passion and the judges chose them as the only 2 Australians. They received an all expenses paid trip to London for a week, which includes sight seeing and planned events, as well as a photo shoot which will appear on world-wide McDonalds packaging in 2007. What a fantastic promotion and well done to Kelly and Ryan!! |
Congratulations to Ryan for being chosen for the Governments newest Anti-Smoking TV commercials. The ad was so successful, it's now going to be used in the high schools as part of the PE curriculum.Way to go Ryan for sending out the right message!! |
Ryan will also be appearing in an episode of Forensic Science in August as Donnie Waters.Congratulations Ryan! |

Sydney Swing Kitten Kelly James will be starring in and choreographing a new musical playing, by Jump Sugar Jump Productions, in Melbourne July 21st-25th, 2006 at the Chelsea RSL Club called Jump Sugar Jump! The show is a historical musical set in Melbourne in 1943. Story by Russell Haig and music by Simon Bartlett, the cast includes Tom McKewan, Tanya Davies, Milly Edwards, Kelly James and Gus Mercurio playing General MacArthur. Swing Kat Ryan James will also be appearing in the cast as a Yank Marine! Web site and ticket information available HERE! Please come along and support this great dancing event!  |
HUGE congratulations to Justin and Kelly for winning the final of the Marrickville RSL club Rock and Roll competition. The comp drew the best of the best rockers and they all gave awesome performances in their heats and finals, but it was SSK's Justin and Kelly that took the major first prize of $20,000!!!!! Another round of rock and roll competitions are starting soon, so stay tuned for more details! WAY TO GO KATZ!!! |

Sydney Swing Katz Kelly & Justin were chosen to help promote Swing dance in Hong Kong in November 2002 by a Sydney entertainment agency. This was a 3 day event consisting of media interviews, demonstrations and instruction. If anyone can show them how it's done..it's the Katz! Well done guys! The Sydney Swing Katz accompanied by the TOAST Big Band, performed at Castle Hill RSL for the Rotary Club's 1940's Swing Ball. The night was a huge success and Castle Hill think it could become a regular event.  |
